Summary

The Resource Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing flexible, cross-functional clinical support across the organization as well as nationwide clinical leadership and development. This individual will serve as the primary weekend On-Call Clinical Nurse Supervisor, while also supporting operational projects, relief coverage, and educational initiatives during the workweek. The role is ideal for experienced CSI supervisors who are adaptable, dependable, and eager to make a broad impact across teams.

Schedule: (Remote) Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am - 8:00pm CST; weekday hours/schedule vary.

Travel: This position is required to travel approximately 50% of the time across the U.S. as needed for patient infusions and provide teaching and education to new and current Supervisors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Weekend On-Call Coverage

  • Serves as the primary weekend on-call Clinical Nurse Supervisor, overseeing clinical operations and providing guidance, decision-making, and support for all clinical issues that arise.

Travel Relief & Coverage

  • Provides coverage as a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Regional Team Lead, or Home Infusion Nurse in various regions as needed during the workweek.

  • Travels up to 50% nationwide to provide in-person relief coverage, nurse training, or support for other regions as needed.

Training & Development

  • Designs and delivers training programs for nurses nationwide, supporting ongoing professional growth and certification.

  • Conducts educational visits and training for nursing staff to support professional development and clinical excellence.

  • Mentors and coaches nursing staff to foster leadership skills and clinical excellence nationwide.

Clinical Leadership & Support

  • Leads or participates in assigned projects aimed at improving workflows, efficiency, and staff well-being.

  • Collaborates with leadership to identify operational inefficiencies or care gaps and proposes actionable solutions.

  • Supports implementation and roll-out of new processes or tools that impact field or remote teams.

  • Proactively monitors referral and scheduling platforms to assist with staffing needs and ensures patient retention within CSI’s care.

  • Flexes into other clinical roles (e.g., Lab Nurse, Intake Nurse, QA Nurse) when able, to support temporary staffing gaps.

  • Communicates effectively and consistently with Clinical Nurse Supervisors, Regional Team Leads, and leadership to ensure continuity of care and operational alignment.

Schedule Expectations

  • Must be willing to work all weekends except 6 weekends per year (approximately one weekend off per quarter), which can be scheduled using PTO or approved time off

  • Provides additional support during the workweek as needed for projects, travel coverage, and nurse education

  • Maintains flexibility to travel on short notice and balances remote supervisory work with in-person patient care responsibilities

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must be a current CSI RN with completed training as a Clinical Nurse Supervisor and/or Regional Team Lead.

  • Must have prior CSI Supervisor experience.

  • Experience in clinical leadership roles at a national or multi-state level preferred.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, clinical reliability, and strong independent judgment.

  • Proven ability to balance remote oversight and in-person care effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver nurse training programs.

  • Minimum 2 year of infusion therapy experience preferred.

  • CPR/BLS required; additional certifications (ONS, CRNI) are a plus.

  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing needs.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to reliable transportation.

Work Environment

This job combines remote supervisory work with in-person clinical responsibilities and may require frequent nationwide travel, including overnight stays. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may travel by automobile and be exposed to changing weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and electronic medical record systems. Ability to adapt to diverse clinical environments and support remote teams is essential.
