Summary
The Licensing and Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the compliance and legal team by managing and maintaining the pharmacy’s Medicaid licenses across multiple states. This position is primarily responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking license applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and assisting with other compliance and licensing projects as needed.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000/yr+ (DOE)
Schedule: (Remote) Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm with flexibility on hours
Location: This position will be communicating with people across all US time zones, so residing in CST time zone is preferred but not required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with Company’s Core Values and Core Competencies.
• Perform other compliance duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to the Company’s compliance requirements as stated in the policy and procedure manual and all other related policies.
• Maintain effective working relationships and cooperate with all personnel in the Company.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal procedures related to regulatory compliance.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks related to licensure or practice scope.
• Support the legal and compliance team in maintaining accurate and current records of licensure and regulatory filings.
• Assist with additional licensing and accreditation projects, including pharmacy permits, state registrations, and renewals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required documentation for submissions.
• Communicate with state Medicaid agencies and other regulatory bodies to resolve licensing issues or follow up on application statuses.
• Maintain tracking systems to monitor license status, expiration dates, and renewal deadlines.
• Prepare and submit Medicaid license applications and renewals for the pharmacy and affiliated entities.
Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

- Ability to work effectively with colleagues as team members and to communicate effectively.
- Self-motivator and able to work independently.
- Competence in Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Competence in Microsoft Office required, including Excel, Access, and Word.
Education and/or Experience
- Undergraduate degree required
- Compliance/Medicaid experience highly preferred
