ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assists in coordinating infusion services with appropriate pharmacy departments. i.e., intake, patient care coordinators, insurance, etc.
· Assists in delivery of quality care to clients receiving infusion therapy.
· Monitors communication from pharmacy to assist CNS.
· Reviews and approves submitted forms by Agencies as needed.
· Ensures all required documentation for nursing visit and patient diagnosis is completed in its entirety by Agency's Infusion Nurse.
· Pursues and requests more specific documentation from Agency/ Agency's Infusion Nurse as needed.
· Collaborates with CNS and Agencies to ensure all nursing notes are turned in for timely billing purposes.
· Monitors Patient’s infusion schedule for timely fill processing by ensuring schedule is accurate and up to date and communicates changes to the Pharmacy fill and ship team.
· Reviews and revises patient's schedules for infusions as necessary.
· Be accessible for Agencies/Infusion Nurse staff consultation and problem-solving.
· Maintains professional commitment, credibility, and clinical expertise in concepts of infusion nursing.
· Informs the RDON and CNS of nursing activities, needs, problems, and unusual events.
· Complies with all company policies, instructions, and directives for the fulfillment of company objectives.
· Completes and submits all required reports in a timely manner.
· Maintains current files and other records in accordance with company instructions and requirements.
· Consistently represents the company in a professional manner.
· Maintains effective working relationships and cooperates with all personnel in the company.
