Summary

The IT Asset Administrator I is responsible for providing technical support and managing IT assets within a clinical office environment. This role combines desktop support and helpdesk responsibilities (approximately 60%) with IT asset management, equipment provisioning, and onboarding support (approximately 40%). The IT Asset Administrator ensures efficient operation of IT systems, supports end-users, and maintains accurate records of hardware and software assets.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000/yr (DOE)

Schedule: (On-Site) Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Plano, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

Desktop Support/Helpdesk (60%) 

  • Provide first-line technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with computers, printers, phones, and other standard office equipment.
  • Assist users with software, including installation, configuration, and updates.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.

IT Asset Management, Equipment Provisioning, and Onboarding Support (40%)

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses, using asset management tools.
  • Track asset lifecycles, from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provision and configure IT equipment (e.g., laptops, desktops, peripherals) for new hires and existing employees.
  • Support onboarding processes by setting up workstations, accounts, and access permissions for new employees.
  • Coordinate equipment returns, upgrades, and replacements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Supplemental Functions

  • Maintain documentation for IT processes, asset records, and user guides.
  • Support IT projects, such as system upgrades or office relocations, as assigned.
  • Provide basic training to employees on the use of IT systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with vendors for equipment repairs, warranty claims, or procurement needs.

  • Associate degree in IT
  • Prior help desk experience

This job generally operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
