Job Description
- Manage vendors and suppliers: The Facility Manager will be entrusted with managing relationships with a diverse range of vendors and suppliers. This involves negotiating contracts, managing service level agreements, ensuring optimal vendor performance, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise. The objective is to ensure that all external partners align with our standards of excellence.
- Oversee building maintenance and operations: As a Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our office buildings. This includes managing repairs, ensuring the functionality of building systems, coordinating routine and preventative maintenance efforts, and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all facilities' needs are met.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Safety is paramount, and the Facility Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our office buildings comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. This involves conducting regular safety inspections, implementing safety measures, training staff on safety procedures, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all regulatory changes that may impact our facilities.
- Budget Management: The Facility Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the budget for office maintenance and operations, ensuring cost- effective use of resources while maintaining the high standards of our facilities.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Based on Experience.

- Previous experience in facility management: Candidates should have substantial experience working in a facility management role. This experience will have given them an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of managing office buildings. Experience in a similar industry or size of the organization would be a plus.
- Strong vendor management skills: The ability to manage vendors and suppliers effectively is crucial for this role. This includes strong negotiation skills, the ability to resolve disputes, and the capacity to manage contracts effectively. Candidates should have a track record of building strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Knowledge of building operations and maintenance: Candidates should have a solid understanding of building operations and maintenance. This includes knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and the latest trends in facility management. They should also have a track record of effectively managing maintenance teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills: In this role, you will be communicating with various vendors, suppliers, and team members, so excellent communication skills are essential. The role also requires a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and teams effectively. Candidates should have proven experience in managing complex operations and coordinating across different teams and departments.
- Problem-solving skills: The role involves tackling unforeseen issues and challenges, requiring a candidate with strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and the ability to think on their feet.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Facilities Management, Business Administration, or similar is preferred. A relevant professional qualification or certification in Facility Management would be a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required. Experience in managing facilities for an organization of a similar size would be beneficial.
