The Clinical Support Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and updating interactive eLearning modules to enhance clinical training. This role involves collaboration with clinical professionals, coordination of virtual training sessions, administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), and continuous evaluation and improvement of training effectiveness.

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $70,000/yr (DOE)

Location: Plano, TX

Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days/week in office) Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Instructional Design & Content Development

The Clinical Support Training Specialist will design, develop, and update interactive eLearning modules using instructional design best practices and adult learning principles. This includes enhancing existing content and training into engaging, effective digital formats and ensuring that training materials reflect current clinical practices, company policies, and regulatory standards.

Collaboration & Subject Matter Expertise

The specialist will work closely with Clinical Nurse Educators, pharmacy leaders, and other subject matter experts to assess training needs and gather accurate, relevant content. They will participate in planning meetings to align training initiatives with clinical goals and organizational strategy, and facilitate collaborative reviews of training materials to ensure clinical accuracy and relevance.

Virtual Training Coordination

The Clinical Support Training Specialist will schedule, coordinate, and provide logistical support for virtual in-services, webinars, and live training sessions. They will support facilitators and learners during live sessions to ensure smooth technical operation and participant engagement, and maintain a calendar of upcoming training sessions while communicating logistics to appropriate teams.

LMS Administration & Compliance Monitoring

The specialist will upload and manage eLearning content, learning paths, and user access in the Learning Management System (LMS). They will track participation and training completions, generating reports to support compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

They will develop and administer training assessments and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of learning experiences, analyze feedback and performance data to recommend and implement improvements, and stay informed on trends in eLearning, healthcare training, and regulatory changes to continuously evolve the training program.

Qualifications

Education

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or Design, Digital Media, Health Education, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.

Experience

  • The candidate should have 2–4 years of experience in eLearning development, instructional design, or clinical education.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting (preferably with home infusion or specialty pharmacy) is preferred, along with experience collaborating with clinical professionals, including nurses and pharmacists.

  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Workday, MedBridge) are necessary.

  • Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and an understanding of SCORM/xAPI standards are preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential.

  • The specialist should be detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy, and possess problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Working Conditions

The position may be remote or hybrid depending on location. Flexibility to adjust hours to support training sessions across various shifts is required, and occasional travel may be necessary for meetings or training events.
