Summary

Under supervision, the Shipping Technician is responsible for preparing and packaging patient orders of medications, supplies and equipment in a safe, effective, and timely manner. In addition, responsible for the hand delivery of patient orders, maintaining supply levels on stock shelves and keeping individual and shipping areas clear of trash and other debris.

Location: Nash, Tx
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm (100% On-Site)
Pay Range: $18 - $20/hour (DOE)

Qualification Requirements

  • Provide the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication in order to build and maintain a healthy patient census.

  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and frequently change direction.

  • Primarily assists with preparing and boxing patient medication and supply orders.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable automobile.

  • Performs individual delivery of patient orders and obtains patient signatures on Delivery Tickets and other forms as indicated.

  • Participates in weekly rotation of job duties, including the after hours on call schedule.

  • Performs weekly vehicle inspection and maintains vehicles in clean and proper working order per organization policy and procedure.

  • Assists in maintaining individual and shipping areas in a clean and orderly fashion.

  • Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, moving violations or warnings and driver's license suspensions to the Operations Supervisor.

  • Provides high quality service to patients when making in-person deliveries.

  • Consistently represents the Company in a professional manner. 

  • Maintain effective working relationship and cooperate with all personnel in the Company.

  • Adheres to the Company’s compliance requirements as stated in the policy and procedure manual and all other related policies.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma.

  • Knowledge of medical supplies/home healthcare desirable.

  • Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record.

  • Possess basic organizational skills.

  • Be able to communicate well with patients and other employees.

  • Dependable attendance and job performance.

  • Flexible with work schedule.

The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

This job generally operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may travel by automobile and be exposed to changing weather conditions.
