Job Description

At CSI Pharmacy (CSI), we are on a mission to provide Specialty Pharmacy services to patients with chronic and rare illnesses in need of complex care.

The Senior Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $75,000/yr (DOE)

Schedule: On-Site Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Nash, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

  • Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

  • Maintains the general ledger.

  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and aids in closing the monthly books.

  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.

  • Analyzes data sets for corporate reporting or reconciliation.

  • Prepares and posts Journal entries for daily and periodic close activities.

  • Review and verify payroll registers and benefit deductions for consistency and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.

  • Reconcile monthly invoices from benefits providers (e.g., health, dental, vision, retirement plans) against payroll deductions and enrollment data.

  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies in benefits billing and payroll reporting across multiple states, ensuring compliance with varying state-specific regulations and requirements.

  • Prepare and process journal entries related to payroll and benefits as part of the month-end close.

  • Assist in the preparation of year-end reporting including W-2s, 1095-Cs, and benefits summaries.

  • Works with Staff accountant to reconcile customer accounts and aid in accounts receivable collections.

  • Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

  • Assists the VP, Controller, and Accounting Manager with periodic and annual audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as tax requirements.

  • Proactively identifies issues/opportunities for internal controls and process improvement.

  • Assists with period test to established internal control procedures.

  • Consistently represents the company in a professional manner. 

  • Maintain effective working relationship and cooperate with all personnel in the Company.

  • Adheres to the Company’s compliance requirements as stated in the policy and procedure manual and all other related policies.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Provide the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication skills

  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.

  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Highly proficient with accounting software.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

  • Three to five years of accounting experience required.

  • Excel knowledge and experience required.

  • Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
