CSI Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Intake Director to join our dynamic team. CSI Pharmacy is a nationwide specialty pharmacy, founded by pharmacists and dedicated to providing services for patients with chronic and rare illnesses that require complex care. This role will be based out of the Dallas, TX area.

The Director of Intake in Specialty Pharmacy plays a critical role in our organization. This position is integral to the effective management of all aspects of the intake process for specialty pharmacy patients. The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented individual who has a keen eye for overseeing the collection and verification of patient information, ensuring that all necessary documentation is received and processed timely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the intake process for specialty pharmacy patients: As Director of Intake, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of the intake process. This includes ensuring that the process runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve monitoring the progress of each patient's intake and intervening as necessary to prevent delays or bottlenecks. You will be the linchpin ensuring that each patient's journey from consultation to treatment is seamless and stress-free.

  • Ensure all patient information is collected and verified accurately: A key part of this role involves rigorous data management. This means you will be responsible for collecting patient information and verifying it for accuracy. Your attention to detail and accuracy is crucial in the patient onboarding process, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and correct.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for patients: The Director of Intake will need to work closely with other departments, such as the clinical and billing departments, to ensure patients transition smoothly into the specialty pharmacy program. This requires excellent communication skills to ensure that all necessary information is communicated to the appropriate departments in a timely and effective manner.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the intake process: The Director of Intake will be expected to play a proactive role in continuously reviewing and improving the intake process. This includes developing and implementing new policies and procedures that can increase efficiency, improve patient experience, and reduce any potential errors or obstacles in the process.

  • Manage a team of intake specialists, providing training and guidance as needed: As the Director of Intake, you will lead a team of intake specialists. This involves providing training and guidance, resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring that the team is working effectively and efficiently. Your leadership skills will be essential in fostering a supportive and high-performing work environment.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy setting: Candidates should have a history of working in a specialty pharmacy setting. This experience will have given them an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of this role. Your experience in this field will be crucial for making informed decisions and providing effective leadership.

  • Strong leadership and management skills: As the Director of Intake, you will be leading a team. Therefore, strong leadership and management skills are a must. This includes the ability to motivate and inspire your team, resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise, and guide your team towards achieving their objectives.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills: In this role, you will be communicating with various departments and individuals, so excellent communication skills are essential. Furthermore, the complexity of the intake process requires a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and teams effectively.

  • Knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations and regulations: An understanding of the operations and regulations surrounding specialty pharmacy is crucial for this role. This knowledge will guide your decision-making and ensure that the intake process complies with all necessary regulations and standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment: The specialty pharmacy setting can be fast-paced and high-stress. The Director of Intake needs to be able to thrive in this type of environment. This includes being able to make quick decisions, prioritize tasks, and handle high-pressure situations with ease. Your resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure will be crucial for success in this role.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • At least five years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy industry.

  • At least three years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
